WHAT WE’RE DOING

The Karoo Sustainable Landscapes Program (KSLP) operates in the globally significant Karoo and Cape Floral Kingdom, semi-arid ecosystems renowned for their exceptional endemism and biodiversity.

These landscapes hold substantial potential for soil carbon sequestration and grassland recovery, presenting a major opportunity for climate-positive land stewardship.

THE PROCESS

In the face of increasing climate variability, KSLP supports regenerative land management approaches that strengthen ecosystem resilience while sustaining productive agricultural landscapes.

The program works through long-term partnerships with private landowners and farming communities to deliver durable carbon removal through increased soil organic carbon, alongside improved rangeland condition and biodiversity resilience.
