Scaling Restoration with Integrity: Sayari Earth’s 2026-2031 Strategic Plan

We are proud to publicly share Sayari Earth’s five-year Strategic Plan (2026 to 2031).  It is our roadmap to guide how we intend to scale high-integrity carbon removal, deepen community partnerships, and restore biodiversity strongholds across Africa.

Why This Plan Matters

The world is entering a decisive decade for climate and nature. The science is clear that large-scale carbon removals will be required alongside deep decarbonization to maintain a liveable planet. At the same time, restoration must create tangible value for the communities and land stewards who lead the regeneration efforts.  The world needs an army of organizations like Sayari Earth helping to restore ecosystems, and an army of corporates acting on net zero strategies encompassed in a global legal framework that drives faster decarbonization.  We hope that this Strategic Plan will help other firms like us and startups in our space to more quickly scale up, and to refine their strategies and plans.

Our emblem is the dung beetle, which navigates by the stars.  This Strategic Plan is our compass helping us navigate a rapidly evolving global climate landscape while staying grounded in our mission of partnering with people to sustain life on Planet Earth.  This plan was developed by Sayari Earth Staff and our Executive and Technical Advisory Boards over the course of the past year.

Our Strategic Plan outlines how Sayari Earth aims to respond to this moment by:

  • Scaling high-integrity nature-based carbon removal.
  • Advancing digital monitoring and data transparency.
  • Deepening community-led impact and shared value.
  • Strengthening systems that support long-term ecosystem stewardship.

We believe that well-designed carbon finance can unlock powerful incentives for restoration, aligning environmental recovery with economic opportunity.  Sayari Earth focuses on biodiversity strongholds where conservation and working agricultural landscapes intersect. It’s a ‘beyond project’ approach that integrates collaboration with landowners, communities, and institutions to co-create projects that deliver measurable climate, biodiversity, and livelihood outcomes.

A Vision for Scale in Africa

Over the next five years, Sayari Earth intends to develop and finance large-scale projects across priority African landscapes, working alongside local partners to support restoration at meaningful scale.

Our flagship Karoo Sustainable Landscapes Program serves as a living laboratory, demonstrating how ecosystem restoration, community prosperity, and carbon removal can reinforce and strengthen one another.

We are committed to growing deliberately by investing in people, strengthening operational systems, and preserving the culture and integrity that define our organization.

Looking Ahead

Our Strategic Plan is a dynamic framework that will evolve as science, markets, and partnerships advance. It reflects our commitment to learning, accountability, and long-term stewardship.

We invite communities, governments, investors, researchers, and collaborators to explore the plan and join us in shaping the future of nature-based carbon removal. Together, we can help regenerate ecosystems, strengthen livelihoods, and build a restoration economy that benefits both people and planet.
