Our Mycelia: The Values That Keep Us Rolling Forward
When you look beneath the surface of a thriving ecosystem, you’ll find networks of life holding it all together: roots, soils, and mycelia, hidden fungal threads that weave through the Earth’s fabric. Mycelia create underground networks connecting plants in a shared system, enabling the exchange of water, nutrients, and ecological signals, and acting as a living backbone for ecosystem health and resilience.
This invisible infrastructure in nature inspired how we build Sayari Earth.
Just as mycelia sustain and connect life beneath the surface, our values form the powerful network that drives how we operate, make decisions, and show up for one another and the planet.
As a public benefit corporation, we call them our “Mycelia”, because they are rooted in purpose, interconnected across every part of our work, alive, evolving as we grow, and supportive of thriving ecosystems and people. They shape every decision, action, and partnership as we pursue our mission to partner with people to sustain life on Planet Earth. We are sharing these publicly with our community to show what drives our decision making, and also with the goal that our mycelia will inspire others including start ups in our sector to refine values-based business development. We welcome others to clone our format or content, make it their own and refine it! We strongly believe that stakeholder-based business models are best for the planet and are sharing our tools to hopefully help others on this journey.
