About the Role

Sayari Earth is seeking a dedicated and experienced Project Manager to lead the planning, coordination, and delivery of nature-based carbon removal projects in the Karoo. This role is pivotal in driving the success of our environmental initiatives, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within scope, and in line with organizational goals and compliance requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee all phases of project implementation, from planning through execution to completion.
• Develop and manage project plans, schedules, budgets, and reporting frameworks.
• Coordinate cross-functional teams, external partners, and community stakeholders.
• Ensure compliance with environmental regulations, policies, and carbon project standards.
• Monitor project progress, risks, and deliverables, providing regular updates to leadership.
• Facilitate clear communication across internal teams and external stakeholders.
• Oversee resource allocation, procurement, and financial accountability within projects.

Skills and Expertise

• Leadership & Coordination: Proven ability to lead diverse teams and manage complex projects.
• Project Planning: Strong skills in developing timelines, managing budgets, and ensuring deliverables are met.
• Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively across multiple stakeholders.
• Problem-Solving: Strong analytical skills to anticipate challenges and implement effective solutions.
• Technical Understanding: Competent in Microsoft Office, SharePoint. Knowledge of environmental projects, carbon markets, and compliance frameworks is highly desirable.

Qualifications & Experience

• Degree in Project Management, Environmental Science, Business Administration, or related field.
• Project Management Certification (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2) essential.
• Minimum of 5–7 years’ experience managing large-scale projects, preferably in environmental, conservation, or carbon-related fields.
• Strong track record of managing budgets, contracts, and stakeholder relationships.
• Experience working in rural or community-based projects in South Africa is an advantage.
